Easter Sunday may fall on April Fool’s Day (April 1st) this year, but the reason folks celebrate Easter is no April fooling. It’s a time when Christians remember Jesus on the cross and a time when people attend church to celebrate his resurrection. Amazingly, this is the first time Easter has fallen on April 1st in my lifetime.  I thought that was unusual… and I didn’t realize how unusual until I started working on this post. I’m no spring chicken! ha!

For most families, Easter is a day of dressing up, attending church, and hunting brilliantly colored eggs filled with prizes, candy or money. Easter is a day of enjoying a big meal with our loved ones. It’s a celebration of spring, a celebration of life, a celebration of love.
